It is the financial generosity of people within the community that fuels the incredible life changing experience of Jesus within River Valley, Bastrop, and beyond. Our support comes from the worship and hearts of people who tithe and give for the glory of God.

A tithe is 10% of income that is given to the local church. The Bible says in Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house. Test Me in this way,” says the Lord of Host. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.” God promises to bless us when we tithe. River Valley believes it is our responsibility to be stewards of God’s money with excellence. The resources given to River Valley are used to reach more people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Just as it is a commandment from the Bible to give, River Valley acts in obedience to this command by giving 10% of its income to starting churches and mission work. All of this is done along with your help to bring the Gospel to more people.
