River Valley applies these “Connections” for our church body, in order to equip them to connect with Christ and have abundant lives in Him. We seek to keep Christ the center of our lives through these "Connections."
We have a regular Connections Group that meets to help you learn more about all of this and to help you connect into Godly community at River Valley. We want everyone at River Valley to take part in Connections Group. It's a perfect beginning place if you are new to River Valley.
SIGN UP HERE FOR OUR NEXT CONNECTIONS GROUP, STARTING SUNDAY, JUNE 23!
WE represents the worship that we give to Jesus. We intentionally gather together on Sunday mornings to give God the first of our week; the first of our time. There is supernatural power in singing worship together, declaring the truth of who Jesus is and our identity as His sons and daughters. There is power in hearing Biblical teaching and putting it into practice with our lives. (James 1:22-25)
LOVE happens by ‘Connecting One to Another, Connecting Each Other to Christ.’ We prioritize connecting to Groups at River Valley so that we learn to live together like Jesus lives – in loving obedience to the Father and in loving commitment to one another. (Acts 2:46-47)
GROW represents our individual, personal, daily time of Bible reading and prayer with the Lord. We give God the first and best of our time every day. We grow through applying the Bible to our lives, listening to what God says to us when we pray, and living faithfully for Jesus. We have many resources to help you experience God and consistently meet with Him. (Hebrews 4:12)
GIVE is how we generously return to God the first of our money. We believe Bilical giving happens through our tithes and offerings: our financial resources to expand the Gospel in our community and beyond. We are generous with our giving because God is so generous to us. (Malachi 3:8-10)
GO at River Valley happens by serving within the various church ministries. We encourage everyone to regularly attend a Sunday morning service to worship Jesus and then stay for another service time in order to serve in a ministry area. You can also consider some opportunities during the week like being a Group Leader or serving with RV Students on Wednesday evenings. We also do this by going beyond our walls to serve others around the community. We reach, help, and connect people to Jesus by inviting them to come to River Valley. (Acts 1:8)
